In Salman Taseer murder case, Mumtaz Qadri has hanged to death


RAWALPINDI: Mumtaz Qadri has hanged to death, he shot dead the Former Governor of Punjab, Salman Taseer over his opposition to blasphemy laws. Mumtaz Qadri killed Former Governor of Punjab in 2011.

Today, at 4:30 am, on Monday, February 29th, 2016, Qadri was hanged to death at heavily guarded Adaila Jail in the morning. On this occasion, inside and around prison security was extremely tight and not any unauthorized person was allowed to omit into the jail. Earlier to execution, Mumtaz Qadri was met to his family by officials. After his death confirmed, the collapse was handed over to his family.

Against Mumtaz Qadri’s death penalty protests are being gone all over the Pakistan. People are protesting in the shape of rallies. Schools and petrol pumps were closed in many towns of Karachi while the protest has also been at Nomaish Choramgi. On the Shahdra Motor, Lahore protestors offered his absentia funeral ceremony. They burned tires and blocked the road. Resultantly, Metro Bus route has been limited. In the Rawalpindi protestors came on the track of Metro Bus against death penalty of Mumtaz Qadri. Due to which passengers faced a lot of difficulties. In Hyderabad, protestors burned tyres on several roads, blocked them and forcibly closed the schools. Remember that In Salman Taseer murder case, Mumtaz Qadri has hanged to death.

It is clear that Mumtaz Qadri shot dead to Former Governor of Punjab Salman Taseer on January 4th, 2011, at Kohsar Market, Lahore. The first anti-terrorism court ordered the death sentence against Qadri then the Islamabad High Court upheld the death penalty decision and then the Supreme Court has also rejected Qadri’s application last December. At last, the President of Pakistan ‘Mamnoon Hussain’ also rejected his appeal of mercy few days ago. In the long run, Pakistan hanged to death Mumtaz Qadri. Today is the day of mourn in all over the Pakistan.
