KOLKATA: Pakistan cricket team has arrived in India via Dubai to participate in the T20 World Cup where at Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport cricket fans cheered the Pakistani Cricket and warmed welcome them. The security arrangements were unusual.
On the eve of the arrival of Pakistan’s Man and Women Cricket team the security was very tight at Kolkata Airport. According to the Dawn News, police and paramilitary forces were deployed in large numbers with Quick Force.
When the Captain of the Pakistani T20 team came out from the Airport so the cricket fans shouted ‘Boom Boom Afridi’ on which he replied. According to the Pakistan Cricket Board at the same time some people shouted ‘Indian Team Zindabad’.
Pakistani High Commissioner Abdul Basit was also present at the airport to welcome the Pakistani team.
Pakistani team was brought to the hotel ‘Taj Bengal’+ by the bullet-proof bus where police and paramilitary forces were on duty.
The hotel has been closed for the general people and a floor of the hotel has been reserved especially for the Pakistani team.
On March 16th, Pakistan will play against qualifier team and on March 19th will play against India at Kolkata.
In the long run, Pakistani Cricket Team arrives in India.
