I’m not huge on fitness but I’ve always dreamed of having abs. So, for my new year’s resolution this year, I decided I was finally going to put in the effort to make that dream a reality. I started by searching the internet to see what the best programs for beginners would be and ended up coming across a bunch of interesting apps for a six-pack workout.
I won’t lie, I was a bit unsure about them at first. But after I gave a few of them a try, I knew there was no turning back because oh my gosh they work! And while the apps I tried are segmented for men and women, a lot of the beginning steps are the same, so it doesn’t matter which ones you decide to use when you first start out. Below, I’ve broken down my top picks into two categories – men and women – so you can choose the app or apps that best fit your lifestyle.
1. Ab Workouts for Men
Whether you’re an exercise guru or you’ve never exercised a day in your life, you can start to build your abs with these programs; no experience needed. It’s just like having a replacement for a trainer.

Just know that the main focus is getting a great ab workout, so if you’re looking for something full-body this may not be for you.
With Six Pack in 30 days, you only have to work out 10- 15 minutes a day with lessons from a personal trainer; I was so happy with how easy the schedule was to fit into my routine. There are tutorials to help you do the exercises in just the right way and you’ll also find muscle building lessons developed by a fitness expert. However, if you want to remove ads, you are going to have to pay a subscription fee to do so.
2. Ab Workouts for Women
Beginner or a professional, it doesn’t matter. The workouts are easy to follow and crazy effective. You have everything you need to master form and learn countless ab exercises.

Ab Workouts for Women has exercises that have been carefully designed by a professional trainer so you get all the tips and tricks necessary to master your form and create your abs. You can easily follow exercise videos and animations to successfully complete each exercise. I would recommend, though, that you keep in mind the exercise plan is made to be completed in 30 days. Because of this, it can be a bit overwhelming if you’re not fully prepared for it.
Thanks to these ab apps I’m actually seeing results – something I honestly thought would never happen. I was so sure I would just give up after a couple of weeks. But (and thankfully so) these apps actually make doing the exercises easy and fun, so doing my daily ab workout feels way less like a chore and a lot more like a fun challenge.
