KARACHI: Star Batsman Younas Khan broke the silence about his ODI retirement. He says that my decision was not sudden while I waited till months for this opportunity. When considered appropriate, then I will also say goodbye to test cricket. I will respond to Waqar Younus in a presence of him. No angel will come for taking out Pakistani Team from whirlpool. They must respect players, team needs someone who trusts.

He expressed these views while talking to a private TV. It is quite unfortunate that some people are blaming responsible to me, for the defeat versus England. I want to clear that I did not take decision suddenly and Waqar Younus or anyone else was not reason of it. I was being in and out from ODI team. I waited months, of the appropriate time for announcing my retirement where the test concerns, said by Younus Khan.

When the right time will come to I will retire. Remember that according to Waqar Younus, Younus Khan informed about his decision of retirement, in the morning of the first ODI match versus England. On which I said to him, he should not do it, rather he can play on any number according to his desire in all four ODI’s. When a question asked from Younus Khan about Waqar Younus statement, so Younus Khan replied, I will give answer of this question when Younus Khan will be sitting with me. But it is the fact that my decision was thoroughly pre-planned. In the very first, I wanted to retire. But I did not get any appropriate match to play in the world cup.

Younus Khan said, connecting with recent disappointing performances of a team in ODI and T20 matches, no angel will come for taking out Pakistani team from whirlpool. We have to stop taunting and alleging to one another after every defeat. Dropping two players after every match is not a solution for every problem. We have to give complete respect to players. Team needs someone who can be a united team. Team management is very important. Late Bob Woolmer was successful because he treated players in different manners.
